Marco Polo Manila : New on the Menu

Cucina at Marco Polo Ortigas, Manila introduces their new menu of signature à la carte dishes.


Executive Chef Alisdair Bletcher of Marco Polo Hotel Manila keeps the momentum of the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award going with a fresh line-up of dishes catering to hotel guests and locals seeking finer dining options within the Ortigas Business district. 



To start, we had a refreshing carafe of The Earl grape Iced Tea (275+ PHP) 660ml of Cold Earl Grey tea, poured over seedless green grapes and elderflower-infused ice cubes. The grapes are pinched to let the flavours mix together. The ice also made with the actual tea, so it won't water down the drink.

APPETISER



Parma Ham (770+ PHP) with Grilled Marinated Asparagus Spears, Shimeji Mushrooms and Porcini Vinaigrette. The crossroads of flavours inspire the symmetrical plating with the melt-in-your-mouth parma ham as the base for the sweetness of the asparagus, the earthy mushrooms, and the tangy vinaigrette. 

SOUP



White Onion Soup (440+ PHP) with Seared Scallops, Thyme Leaves, and Truffle Oil. Feel at home with the succulent scallops embraced by the creamy briny sweet soup drizzled with truffle oil for a sharp finish.

MAIN COURSE



Sea Bass (1,980+ PHP) Gratinated Fillet of Chilean Sea Bass with Lemon Parsley Crust on Wilted Spinach Leaves, and Pommery Mustard Cream. 

DESSERT



Chocolate Grand Marbier Slice (350+ PHP) with Candied Orange Peel and Vanilla Creme Brûlée. A work of art in form and taste, a subtle orange tart topped with a thin layer of rich chocolate, then a sprinkled with orange syrup and shreds. Best eaten in small bites along with the smooth vanilla creme brûlée.



The scene is set at Cucina whether you're coming for their buffet spread or their artful a la carte menu, you'll be assured of a cozy and classy ambiance that's conducive for both business and culinary indulgence. We recommend a window side table for a stunning view of the metropolis, best call in advance as they are preferred by most diners.
